Chelsea tipped to sign another forward if African star departs in January
Published: November 13, 2022
Premier League club Chelsea could be in the transfer market to find a potential replacement for MoroccO international Hakim Ziyech.
Ziyech has struggled for game time since the beginning of the season, making just one start in the Premier League and four appearances as a substitute.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, via Football Italia, AC Milan are looking to agree a deal with Chelsea and believe the former Ajax Amsterdam star would cost less than 20 million euros.
Football journalist Paul Brown has revealed that the London based club are surely going to get a successor for Ziyech should he Stamford Bridge in the winter transfer market
"I do think that if they were able to get rid of some of the wingers that don't seem to have a future there like Ziyech or Pulisic, I think it's a certainty that Chelsea will go for another forward," Brown said to Givemesport.
"Possibly one who can play in multiple roles so that you have cover in more than one position."
Versatile Portugal international forward Rafael Leao has been linked with a move to Chelsea but the stumbling block to a deal is his release clause of €150m.
