Arsenal boss Arteta takes two Flying Eagles-eligible players to Dubai for training camp
Published: December 04, 2022Arsenal, through their official website, have revealed their traveling squad for a warm weather training camp in Dubai and two Flying Eagles-eligible players are part of the group.
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has included winger Nathan Butler-Oyedeji and attacking midfielder Ethan Nwaneri in the 27-man squad.
The Spanish football tactician decided to name the two Anglo-Nigerian players in the traveling squad, with a number of first team players taking part in the group stage of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The first team players departed for Dubai on Sunday afternoon ahead of Arsenal's participation in the Dubai Super Cup.
The Premier League table toppers will face Lyon on Thursday, December 8, before a meeting with current Serie A champions AC Milan five days later.
Nwaneri and Butler-Oyedeji played the entirety of the second half as Arsenal were beaten 4-2 by Watford in a behind-closed-doors friendly staged at London Colney on Saturday.
Joel Ideho and Zach Awe, who were named in the matchday squad against the Hornets, did not travel with the Arsenal first team to Dubai.
