Arsenal urged to take a look at Chelsea product of Nigerian descent to replace injured Gabriel Jesus

The Sun UK reporter Kealan Hughes has urged Arsenal to take a look at Chelsea product of Nigerian descent, Tammy Abraham as a possible replacement for the injured Gabriel Jesus.

Jesus faces several weeks on the sidelines after undergoing surgery following an injury he suffered while on international duty for Brazil against African side Cameroon at the ongoing World Cup.

Hughes has drawn up a shortlist of five strikers Arsenal could be forced into going for in the January transfer window, with AS Roma star Abraham finding his name on the list.

Free agent and Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo,  PSV Eindhoven's World Cup star Cody Gakpo, Lille's Jonathan David and Juventus' Dusan Vlahovic have been identified as possible transfer targets to fill the void created by Jesus' injury.

Roma are reportedly willing to cash in on the 25-year-old Abraham after an indifferent start to the 2022-2023 season.

The Gunners tried to sign the England international before his transfer to Roma and were also linked with him in the summer.

Prior to his move to Italy, Abraham appeared in 89 matches in the Premier League, with 58 in the colors of Chelsea, and was on target on 26 occasions.
