Official : Turkish Super Lig club loan in former Galatasaray winger Jesse Sekidika
Published: January 17, 2023Nigerian winger Jesse Sekidika is back in the Turkish Super Lig, less than six months after his adventure with Istanbul giants Galatasaray ended.
On Tuesday afternoon, Turkish topflight club HangiKredi Ümraniyespor announced the capture of Sekidika on loan for the remainder of the 2022-2023 season.
After his departure from Galatasaray last summer, the 26-year-old re-joined Eyüpspor, where he spent the second half of last season on loan from the Lions.
Konyaspor and OH Leuven were his other loan clubs during his time with Galatasaray.
Sekidika has made 31 appearances combined for two different clubs Galatasaray and Konyaspor in the Super Lig, scoring two goals and providing an assist.
A product of Brooke House College, he has also worn the colours of AD Oeiras, Benfica, Napredak Kruševac and Eskişehirspor in the past apart from the aforementioned clubs.
In the current season, Sekidika has played in eleven matches for his parent club, including seven starts, and wrote his name on the scoresheet on two occasions.
HangiKredi Ümraniyespor are the bottom team in the Super Lig with fourteen points from eighteen matches played.
