Published: January 28, 2023A day after completing his transfer to League One club Bolton Wanderers, Nigerian-born striker Victor Adeboyejo made his debut for the Trotters against Charlton Athletic at the Valley.
Adeboyejo entered the game as a substitute in the 56th minute as a replacement for another January signing and Nigeria-eligible player, Shola Shoretire.

Before his switch to the University of Bolton Stadium for an undisclosed fee on Friday, he was having a banner season at Burton Albion, scoring thirteen goals from 34 appearances in all competitions.

"Obafemi Martins was one Nigerian striker that I thought was good and I tried to pick up things from him that I can add to my game in terms of his pace and power," he told allnigeriasoccer.com.
The 25-year-old Adeboyejo has been assigned the number 29 at Bolton Wanderers.
