Stade de Reims coach Will Still heaped plaudits on Folarin Balogun after the Arsenal-owned striker played a key role in his side's come from behind 4-2 win against Lorient in a Ligue 1 match on Wednesday.
Balogun grabbed his first-ever hat-trick as a professional, helping Stade de Reims extend their unbeaten run in all competitions to fifteen matches in the process.
In the last two games, the Hale End Academy graduate has proved that Reims depend on him when things are not going well.
The 21-year-old scored a 96th minute equalizer against PSG at the Parc des Princes in the penultimate round of matches before rescuing his side from the jaws of defeat with a hat-trick on Wednesday evening.
Still praised Balogun for his second half goals versus Lorient - two well taken volleys - the first with his right foot and second came from his left boot.
In quotes relayed by L'Equipe, Still said post-match : "Balogun is incredible... He has great lucidity on the penalty spot and then he scores two goals of exceptional quality.
"It shows the attacker and the character he is. He works a lot to allow the team to be in this situation. That's wonderful ! Even if all the players were successful."
Balogun is having an exceptional season at Reims, with his three goals against Lorient taking his haul for the season to fourteen goals, more than any other player in the Ligue 1.
