Manchester United posted scouts to check on Super Eagles star last week

English Premier League giants Manchester United are keeping tabs on Nigeria star Victor Osimhen with a view to a swoop in the summer transfer window.
According to Italian transfer market guru, Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils posted their scouts to run the rule over Osimhen during Napoli's 2-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in a Champions League round of 16, first leg match on Tuesday night.
And Osimhen didn't disappoint the scouts in attendance at the Commerzbank Arena as he won a penalty for his side, which was missed by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, before getting on the score sheet five minutes before halftime.
The Napoli number 9 had a strong first half performance as he caused the Eintracht Frankfurt defence all sorts of problems with his pace, movement and physicality.
Romano also revealed that the Red Devils are monitoring the progress of the 24-year-old in the Serie A, where he has scored nineteen goals.
"We can mention Victor Osimhen because Manchester United scouts were keeping an eye on the player in the Champions League game with Frankfurt and also in some Serie A games," Romano said on YouTube channel.
"So Manchester United are following the progress of this boy to understand if he’s worth the money that Napoli will ask in the future for Osimhen if they want to sell the player – we will see at the end of the season."
Romano clarified that Manchester United are only following Osimhen and it does not mean that the Super Eagles striker will become a player of the Red Devils next season.
The Old Trafford side are tracking the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner before deciding whether or not to make a move for him.
