Chelsea ready to offer Osimhen N4.41b yearly wages to secure his services ahead of Man Utd

Chelsea are hoping to gain ground in the race for the signature of Victor Osimhen by offering the Napoli striker excellent wages, even by Premier League standards.
According to Calciomercato, via Football. London, Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is ready to double Osimhen's current salary at Napoli to secure his signing ahead of Premier League rivals Manchester United.
The striker's current contract at Napoli sees him earn 4.5 million euros every year, meaning the proposed offer from Chelsea would be in the region of nine million euros (approximately N4.41 billion in Nigerian currency).
If the deal were to go through, the Nigerian would be earning the same wages as Kepa Arrizabalaga, Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic, who take home £150,000 every week at Chelsea, according to information from Spotrac.
Napoli owner, Aurelio De Laurentiis is reluctant to sell his marquee player and is valuing the 2015 U17 World Cup winner at more than 100 million euros as he attempts to fend off interest from European powerhouses such as Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Chelsea.
Osimhen will enter the last two years of his contract with Napoli, starting from July 2023, and it a forgone conclusion that he will be sold to one of his suitors if his contract is not extended.
The 24-year-old has established a reputation as one of the most prolific strikers in the top five European Leagues this season with nineteen goals in twenty one matches played, bettered only by Manchester City's Norwegian goal poacher Erling Haaland, who has mustered 27 in 25 matches,
