Every word said by Super Eagles stars Osimhen, Ajayi, Lookman pre-Guinea-Bissau

Super Eagles stars Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Semi Ajayi were on media duties on Wednesday, two days before they are expected to step out on to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium pitch for a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Guinea-Bissau.

Osimhen and Ajayi are back in the fold after sitting out Nigeria's last engagement against Portugal, while Lookman has been an ever present in the squad since the start of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Nigeria are aware that they can seal qualification to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with two rounds to spare if they beat Guinea-Bissau home and away.

In an interview with NFF TV, Osimhen shared his thoughts on Friday's meeting with Guinea-Bissau, being the highest goalscorer with five goals in AFCON qualifying and also sent a message to the fans.

English-born duo Lookman and Ajayi are looking forward to the clash and vowed to give their best if selected by manager Jose Peseiro.

Here's every word they said :

Victor Osimhen

"We are looking forward to it and I'm happy to be back with the squad, it's an amazing feeling and I'm really expecting an amazing result in the two-legged game against Guinea-Bissau.

"We don't underrate our opponent and we want to give them the respect they deserve also as a team. Of course the boys are ready, we are in high spirit and I think we are ready to give our all come Friday and also the second leg in Guinea-Bissau. Just like I said earlier I'm looking forward to the game and to contribute also to the team.

"First of all I want to promise them we'll try everything possible to get a win and of course I'll like to contribute also with a lot of goals and a couple of assists also, but of course the team comes first, and I want to assure them we'll give everything to make sure they are entertained and to make sure they are happy by getting a win and also getting the qualification to the next AFCON.

"I don't care about being the highest goalscorer in the qualification series. The team comes first like I said earlier then if my goals come and I eventually be the highest goalscorer it's an amazing feeling for me but of course the team comes first and I want what's best for the team and I want to win a lot of games.

"I want to say thank you very much for your support, thank you very much for sticking with me, with the Super Eagles, most especially your support throughout the years. I know we might have let you down in the past but I want to say we'll do everything in our power to make sure that we win your love back. Thank you for your support. Personally for me I'm grateful for all the support you guys have been showing me from the start of the season up till now. I appreciate you all, and God Bless you and thank you very much."

Ademola Lookman

"I'm looking forward to obviously another big game for us in the qualification for the AFCON. Another big opportunity for us to get closer to that. It's nice to score goals. I look to hopefully take that into the team here, and we keep working hard.

"The most important thing is about the team winning so about us qualifying for AFCON is the most important.

Semi Ajayi

"I'm looking forward to it. We've got two very, very important games towards our qualification to the AFCON, so everyone is hungry and raring to go. We are taking in the information that the coach has given us and getting ready to put it into practice.

"As always, to give my absolute best for my country and my team, to do my job and to put our team in a position to maximize its capabilities so I'm really, really looking forward to the game and I can't wait to play."
