Official : Major League Soccer club Real Salt Lake sign versatile American-Nigerian player

With a statement on their official website, Major League Soccer club, Real Salt Lake have announced the signing of Emeka Eneli after selecting him in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft.
A defender and midfielder by trade, Eneli was the 25th overall selection in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft and was drafted from Cornell University Men's Soccer.
The 24-year-old, who holds dual United States and Nigerian citizenship, has signed a deal until the end of the 2023 season, with club options for 2024, 2025 and 2026.
The versatile American-Nigerian player was offered a contract after spending the preseason training with both RSL and Real Monarchs (MLS Next PRO) for the past 10 weeks.
Eneli played as a striker in college, registering 20 goals and 17 assists in 60 games for Cornell
Prior to joining Cornell University Men's Soccer, Eneli starred on Columbus Crew Academy (2012-2017) and Ohio Premier (2017-18), before playing one year of varsity soccer at Dublin Coffman HS.
Nigerian-born players Sunday Stephen, Nedum Onuoha and Boyd Okwuonu wore the colours of Real Salt Lake in the past.
