Team news Guinea-Bissau : Balde trains fully pre-Nigeria, Pele still doubtful, Encada ineligible
Published: March 27, 2023
Guinea-Bissau have been handed a boost ahead of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against the Super Eagles.
Troyes attacker Mama Baldé, who skipped the recovery training session on Saturday, trained fully with the rest of his teammates in their final workout at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro on Sunday, which puts him in contention to be named in the starting lineup for today's matchday four tie.
As reported by Fut245, another player who skipped Saturday's session, Pelé,remains doubtful to be named in the matchday 23 as he was not involved in the final training session due to a possible injury.
Guinea-Bissau manager Djurtus manager Baciro Candé will not be able to count on the services of Jefferson Encada for the visit of Nigeria.
The Egyptian-based right-back is ineligible to be fielded against the Super Eagles due to the accumulation of yellow cards.
Encada was yellow carded on matchday one against São Tomé and Príncipe and was cautioned again last Friday at the National Stadium in Abuja.
The game between Djurtus and the Super-Eagles is scheduled to start at 1600 hours local time at Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro.
