18 goals in 29 games : Arsenal loanee Balogun market value skyrockets in under five months
Published: March 28, 2023
Transfer and football statistics website Transfermarkt updated the market value of Arsenal loanee Folarin Balogun on Monday, March 27.
The Hale End Academy graduate has reached the highest market value in his entire career with a valuation of 25 million euros (approximately N12.6 billion in Nigerian currency).
Balogun's market value has been upgraded due to his spectacular form for Stade de Reims with 18 goals in 29 all-competition appearances.
To calculate the market value of players, Transfermarkt factors in the length of contract remaining with the club, age and performances for club and country in different competitions.
In addition, Balogun's stock has risen due to transfer interest amid links with clubs in the German Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Serie A, La Liga and Premier League.
Prior to the latest update yesterday, the 21-year-old's highest valuation was 14 million euros on November 2, 2022, meaning he has gained eleven million euros in less than five months.
Balogun is the most valuable player in the Reims squad, ranks 21st in the Ligue 1 and 20th among all players born in 2001.
He has a contract with Arsenal until June 30, 2025 and his loan deal at Reims expires at the end of this season.
