Dennis' chip against Newcastle up for Nottingham Forest Goal of the Month
Published: March 31, 2023
Emmanuel Dennis is one of five Nottingham Forest players in the running for the club's Goal of the Month award for March 2023.
In what was only his fourth start in the Premier League this term, the Super Eagles striker repaid the manager's faith by opening the scoring at the City Ground as Forest were beaten 2-1 by Newcastle United on March 17.
Twenty six minutes into the contest, Dennis was celebrating his second goal in Nottingham Forest colours,
The 25-year-old kept his nerve and head, chipping the ball through the gap and into the net from an angle despite the best efforts of Magpies defenders Kieran Trippier and Sven Botman to get back.
The other four contenders for Nottingham Forest's Goal of the Month are Brennan Johnson, Alex Mighten, Amy West and Yas Mosby.
Dennis' other goal for the two-time European champions was also scored at the City Ground, in a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa on October 10.
The former Watford man was involved in all the matches played by The Reds in March, three in total.
Overall, he has appeared in twenty games for Steve Cooper's side and directly participated in four goals.
