Osimhen's agent makes huge claim on future of Messi, confirms Napoli star wanted in EPL
Published: April 06, 2023
Italian intermediary Andrea D'Amico, who was among the agents that brokered the deal taking Victor Osimhen from Lille to Napoli in 2020, has sensationally claimed that Paris Saint-Germain superstar Lionel Messi is likely heading to Major League Soccer club Inter Miami in the summer.
The future of the 2022 World Cup winner with Argentina is uncertain and a return to Barcelona appears to be on the cards, but D'Amico has a different opinion.
Messi's potential departure from PSG could open the door for the Parisians to go all out to sign Osimhen and money won't be an issue given the financial power of the Ligue 1 giants.
Manchester United and Chelsea are in the market for a traditional center forward this summer, with the Nigeria international one of their top targets.
Osimhen is having a banner season with 25 goals in twenty nine appearances across all competitions.
D'Amico believes the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup winner is the best striker in the world at the moment, ahead of Manchester City goal machine Erling Haaland.
"At the moment, Osimhen is the best striker in the world. Yes, even better than Haaland," D'Amico said to Radio 24, via
ITA Sport Press.
"He certainly won't lack of options, especially in England and Paris Saint-Germain, who could lose an important player up front. In my opinion, Messi will go to Miami. But that's just my opinion."
Signed from Lille for a club record fee of 70 million euros, Osimhen will enter the last two years of his contract with Napoli on July 1, 2023
