Twio former Super Eagles invitees Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise have bagged spots in Alan Shearer's Premier League Team of the Week following the conclusion of matchday 30.
Crystal Palace came from behind to register an emphatic 5-1 win over Leeds United on Easter Sunday with the two players of Nigerian descent playing key roles for Roy Hodgson's team.
Olise created three goals for his teammates in the second half, setting up Jordan Ayew, Eberechi Eze and Odsonne Edouard.
Eze scored the vital third goal ten minutes into the second half, poking home from close range after Olise skipped past two defenders and slid the ball to him.
Eight different clubs are represented on Shearer's Team of the Week : Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Manchester City, Bournemouth and Newcastle United.
In a 3-4-3 formation, Eze has been deployed as the right-sided midfielder, while Olise starts as an inverted winger on the right.
On Eze, Shearer wrote : "It was his set-piece that helped Palace equalise, and he started and finished the move for their wonderful third goal."
The Newcastle icon also hailed Olise, stating : "Leeds simply could not handle him as he produced a sensational hat-trick of assists and stepped up in the absence of Wilfried Zaha."
