Udinese confirm signing of Bournemouth LB ahead of Udogie's return to Tottenham
Published: April 12, 2023With a statement on their official website, Udinese have confirmed the signing of Zimbabwe international Jordan Zemura on a free transfer from Bournemouth, with effect from the 2023-2024 season
The 23-year-old is currently out of favour at the Cherries following his refusal to renew his contract.
Zemura would be replacing Nigeria-eligible left-back, Destiny Udogie who will be leaving Udinese this summer when his loan deal ends and will be rejoining his parent club, Tottenham Hotspur.
Udogie has featured 26 times in all competitions for Udinese this season scoring three goals.
The 20-year-old is spending his second loan term with the Italian outfit having initially joined them for the 2021/2022 season where he featured 37 times, scoring 5 goals.
Udogie has impressed his parent club Tottenham Hotspur and they see him as the solution to their long-term left-back crisis.
Croatian international, Ivan Perisic and young full-back Ryan Sessegnon are the current options at left-back for Spurs.
Udogie is eligible to represent the Super Eagles but currently plays for Italy U21s.
