OGC Nice were forced to a 2-2 draw in the first leg of their Europa Conference League quarterfinal clash against Basel at St. Jakob Park.
Basel led through a penalty converted by Zeki Amdouni in the 26th minute but Terem Moffi turned the game on its head in the last eight minutes of the first half.
The Nice number 9 stroked past goalkeeper Marwin Hitz to restore parity in the 38th minute before giving the visitors the lead with definitely a UECL Goal of the Week contender.
Moffi executed a sensational bicycle kick to make it 2-1 the first minute of first half stoppage time., but Amdouni, with his second of the game, headed home to equalize for Basel in the 71st minute.
The 23-year-old Nigerian now has three goals in as many games in the Europa Conference League and has mustered 19 in all competitions this term.
Royale Union Saint-Gilloise continued their fairytale story in the Europa League by playing a 1-1 draw with German Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena.
After a goalless first half, Victor Boniface broke the deadlock in the 51st minute when he found the bottom corner with a curling shot.
With his sixth goal in the competition, Boniface moved level with Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford at the top of the Europa League scoring charts.
Union SG were denied a win with eight minutes left on the clock when Florian Wirtz sent an effort into the bottom corner to restore parity for Bayer Leverkusen.
