2019 Golden Eagles invitee finally makes his English Premier League debut

2019 Golden Eagles invitee Odeluga Offiah finally made his English Premier League debut on Wednesday as Brighton & Hove suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Offiah had received eleven call ups in total without tasting action prior to the visit to Nottingham Forest.
With two minutes of regulation time left, Seagulls manager Roberto De Zerbi handed the central defender his Premier League debut, introducing him off the bench as a replacement for Facundo Buonanotte in a tactical substitution.
Though he was in the thick of action, Odiah was not at fault for the third goal conceded by the Seagulls in stoppage time.
Morgan Gibbs-White sealed the win for Nottingham Forest when he converted a penalty awarded after a VAR review confirmed that Lewis Dunk had handled the ball in the area.
Facundo Buonanotte, the player Offiah replaced, opened the scoring in the 38th minute but the Reds equalized through an own goal from Pascal Groß in first half stoppage time, before Danilo, assisted by Taiwo Awoniyi, put the Reds in front midway through the second half.
Aged 20, Offiah has now debuted for Brighton in three different competitions including the Premier League, Emirates FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
The former Bromley youth teamer joined Brighton on a scholarship deal in 2017.
