Manchester United view move for N112b-rated Super Eagles striker as a non-starter
Published: June 15, 2023
Manchester United could be priced out of a move for Npaoli striker Victor Osimhen, according to reports.
The Daily Mail claims that the Red Devils view a proposed move for the Super Eagles star as a non-starter, which is the same reason that they will not pursue an interest in Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane.
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis wants £120 million (approximately N112 billion in Nigerian currency) for his star striker, an asking price which the Red Devils are not ready to match.
Manchester United are now set to focus on getting Atalanta striker, Rasmus Højlund who netted sixteen goals in all competitions in 2022-2023.
Osimhen proved his efficiency in front of goal last season, scoring 31 goals in all competitions and finishing as the top scorer in the Serie A with 26 goals.
The 24-year-old doesn't want to extend his current contract with Napoli which expires in 2025 and that could lead to him being sold this summer.
Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Chelsea are also interested in the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup Golden Boot winner.
