Lookman takes part in Super Eagles final training session before AFCONQ v Sierra Leone

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the Super Eagles have wrapped up their final training session ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Sierra Leone at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Monrovia.

The training was held at the match venue on Saturday and lasted approximately one hour as manager Jose Peseiro assessed his players for the final time before announcing his starting lineup to face the Leone Stars.

The good news is that Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman trained fully with the group, which puts him in contention to be involved in some capacity in Sunday's game.

Lookman was seen with ice wrapped around his leg as his teammates sweated it out on the Mobolaji Johnson, Onikan turf on Wednesday, fueling speculation that he was doubtful to feature against the Leone Stars.

Two days ago, the official word from the Super Eagles backroom staff was that there was nothing to worry about.

All the twenty three players named in the traveling squad trained without limitations, with nobody getting special attention from the Super Eagles physiotherapists.

The Super Eagles players and officials landed in Monrovia at approximately 1130 hours and were met by a Nigerian delegation led by the Nigeria Ambassador to Liberia.

Nigerian Federation president Ibrahim Musa Gusau, NFF's Technical Director Augustine Eguavoen, Super Eagles coordinator Patrick Pascal and George Finidi were part of the traveling party to Monrovia.
