Published: July 26, 2023
Through their official website, Jupiler Pro League side KVC Westerlo have confirmed the signing of Scotland youth international of Nigeria descent Adedire Mebude.
He joins KVC Westerlo on a four-year deal from English champions Manchester City and will don the number 13 jersey
Mebude joined the Citizens' Academy in 2020 and featured for the U18s and development side before his departure.
In 71 games with the young Citizens, he scored 30 goals and delivered another 34 assists.
Mebude signed his first professional contract with the Manchester-based club in 2021 after joining them from Glasgow Rangers.
While the 19-year-old is yet to make a senior appearance for the Scottish National team, he has played in every other level of international football.
Mebude will be hoping he can walk his way into Westerlo's first team and continue polishing his game.
