Official: Premier League new boys Luton Town loan out Lagos-born winger
Published: July 28, 2023
Through their official website, Rotherham have announced the signing of Lagos-born winger Fred Onyedinma from Premier League newcomers Luton Town.
He joins the Championship side on a season-long loan and will wear the number 14 shirt.
Onyedinma joined Luton Town in 2021 and made 29 league appearances for the Hatters in his first season at the club scoring 3 goals in all competitions.
The 26-year-old saw his game reduce drastically last season as he started only 6 Championship games and made his other eleven appearances as a substitute.
In the two seasons he has spent with the Bedfordshire-based side, he has notched 3 goals and seven assists.
Having seen his game reduced, the Nigeria-born midfielder has now joined Rotherham to get more game time
Onyedinma started his career with Millwall where he made 151 appearances registering 12 goals and fifteen assists.
He then proceeded to Wycombe Wanderers whom he helped in getting promoted to the Championship in 2020 and bagged 23 goals and ten assists in all competitions before leaving the club in 2021.
He will be hoping he can help Rotherham gain promotion to the Premier League next season.
