EFL duo face competition from Ross County in sweepstakes for Arsenal striker Butler-Oyedeji

English Football League clubs Cheltenham Town and Cambridge United face competition from Scottish Premiership outfit Ross County in the race to sign Arsenal striker of Nigeria descent Nathan Butler-Oyedeji.

According to a report from Football Insider, the aforementioned clubs are all interested in signing the young striker on a loan deal.

Arsenal have told the 20-year-old that he can go out on loan before the end of the transfer window to gain more first-team experience.

Both Cheltenham and Cambridge have offered the Hale End product the chance to stay in England by playing in English Football League One while Ross County want him to help them in their Scottish Premier League campaign.

As earlier reported, he has also attracted the interest of German and Danish clubs.

Butler-Oyedeji got his first taste of senior team football with Accrington Stanley in the second half of last season and made 11 appearances without scoring.

He would be hoping to impress on loan and break into the first team in the future.

Butler-Oyedeji was named in Arsenal's match squad on two occasions last season but is yet to make his debut for the senior team.
