Official: Istanbulspor loan out Nigeria U23 international Ologo to Corum FK

Through official channels, Turkish 1.Lig club Corum FK have announced the signing of Nigeria U23 international Michael Ologo.

The Istanbulspor-owned central defender will be spending the entirety of the 2023-2024 season on loan at Corum FK.

Ologo has joined Corum FK in order to play first team football on a regular basis, having struggled for playing opportunities last season.

The 20-year-old was utilized in only eight matches, five of which he started, from a possible forty in all competitions during the 2022-2023 campaign.

In his debut season at Istanbulspor, he registered twenty seven appearances across all competitions, and helped the club secure promotion to the Turkish Super Lig.

Ologo was part of Nigeria's Olympic national team squad that beat Tanzania on aggregate in the 2023 U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

He was later invited to the Flying Eagles but missed out on the roster for the 2023 U20 AFCON due to fitness issues.

Ologo will be aiming to make his competitive debut for Corum FK when they take on Tulazspor in their First League opener on Sunday, August 13.
