Nottingham Forest sweating on the fitness of Awoniyi ahead of trip to Arsenal

Nottingham Forest are sweating on the fitness of Taiwo Awoniyi ahead of their opening game of the new Premier League season against Arsenal.
Forest's first Premier League fixture of the season against Mikel Arteta's side at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday may come too soon for the Nigerian who recently resumed training after recovering from an ankle injury.
Awoniyi played a vital role for Steve Coopers's side last season as they narrowly escaped relegation to the Championship.
He netted 6 goals in his last four Premier League games for the Nottinghamshire-based club including a brace against Chelsea and a goal against Arsenal.
The 25-year-old ended the season as the club's top scorer in the Premier League with ten goals to his name.
Cooper, while speaking on the unavailable players during his pre-match conference ahead of the game against Arsenal, confirmed Moussa Niakhate and Taiwo Awoniyi are injury worries for Nottingham Forest.
In quotes relayed by NottinghamshireLive, the Welsh tactician said: "Felipe, for sure. Moussa is just about returning to training, and so is Taiwo, so the game probably comes too soon for them."
Chelsea old boy Ola Aina and Emmanuel Dennis are seemingly in contention to be named in the matchday squad to face Arsenal.
