Tottenham Hotspur considering move for Lukaku despite links with prolific striker Orban
Published: August 11, 2023
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering a move for Chelsea want-away striker Romelu Lukaku, despite earlier reports linking them to prolific Nigerian forward Gift Orban.
Spurs are trying to get a replacement lined up for Harry Kane who is on the verge of completing a move to German champions Bayern Munich.
As reported by The Guardian UK, Ange Postecoglou's side need to replace their star striker as soon as possible and Lukaku has been identified as a potential signing.
The Belgian striker has had a horrible second spell at Chelsea and that led to his loan move to Inter Milan last season.
Despite earlier reports linking him to Inter Milan and Juventus, the former Manchester United forward still finds himself stuck at Stamford Bridge with uncertainty regarding his future.
The 30-year-old old is an experienced and proven Premier League striker with 121 goals and 43 assists in 278 appearances and could fancy a move to Tottenham with no alternative in sight at the moment.
The north London club are eyeing a move for in-form Nigerian striker Orban but nothing is concrete yet regarding their move for the Gent striker or Lukaku.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can report with certainty that Tottenham Hotspur have opened a line of communication with Orban's agent but have not yet firmed up their interest by making an official bid to Gent.
