In the early kickoff, Arsenal kicked off their campaign with a 2-1 win against Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium.
Chelsea academy product Ola Aina made his full debut for the two-time European champions and was in action for 72 minutes, Taiwo Awoniyi, on his 26th birthday, passed a fitness test ahead of the game and was in action for the last nine minutes of normal time, while Emmanuel Dennis missed out on the gameday squad.
Hale End Academy graduates Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka netted to give the Gunners a two-goal lead, but Awoniyi pulled one back in the 82nd minute when he finished off a counter-attack.
At the Vitality Stadium, 2017 Fifa U20 World Cup Golden Ball winner with England, Dominic Solanke was in action for the entirety duration of the game as Bournemouth and West Ham United shared the spoils with a 1-1 draw.
After a goalless first half, Jarrod Bowen unleashed a stunning effort from 25 yards out to break the deadlock in the 51st minute.
Solanke salvaged a point for the Cherries in the 82nd minute when he picked up a loose ball in the area, rounded the goalkeeper and tapped into the net.
In their first-ever game in the Premier League, Luton Town suffered a 4-1 loss to Brighton & Hove at The American Express Community Stadium.
Fulham academy product Elijah Adebayo made his Premier League debut for the Hatters and was in action for 64 minutes. Teammate Gabriel Osho missed the trip to the Amex due to a knee injury.

Simon Adingram in the 85th minute restored the home team's two-goal cushion before teenage sensation Evan Ferguson wrapped up the scoring in stoppage time.
At Goodison Park, Decordova-Reid's close-range finish in the 73rd minute was enough for Fulham to secure all three points in a 1-0 win over Everton.
While Super Eagles playmaker Alex Iwobi was in action for 90 minutes, there was no Premier League debut for Fulham's new boy Calvin Bassey. Tosin Adarabioyo missed out on the matchday squad amid speculation surrounding his future.

On his full Premier League debut, Denmark U21 international William Osula went the distance for the home team.
