Confirmed: Newcastle sign two Chelsea Academy Player of the Year winners in the same summer

Newcastle United have signed two Chelsea Academy Player of the Year winners in the same summer.
After the capture of Tino Livramento, Chelsea's Academy Player of the Year for 2021, the Magpies confirmed the signing of Chelsea's Academy Player of the Year for 2023, Lewis Hall, on Tuesday, August 22.
Hall has joined Newcastle United on loan for the remainder of the 2023-2024 season, with the Magpies holding an option to make that move permanent based on performance-related criteria.
An England U19 international, Hall has made twelve first team appearances for parent club Chelsea, including debuts in the Premier League, Emirates FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
The 18-year-old offers versatility as he can feature as a box-to-box midfielder, left-back, left wing-back, central midfielder and a winger.
Commenting on his transfer to Newcastle United, Hall told the club's official website: "I'm very proud. Me and my family are Newcastle fans, and for me and my brother growing up, it was drilled into us that we were Newcastle. It's a big club and I can't wait to get started.
"I got a lot of experience last year in some big fixtures and I was really proud of the way I progressed as a player and a person.
To now be here at Newcastle, the club that I've supported since I was a kid, I'm honoured and very proud to wear this shirt."
Hall came through Chelsea's development centre programme and has been at the club since his U8 season.
