Official: Nigerian winger returns to 8-time Norwegian champions Viking FK for second spell

Through their official website, 8-time Norwegian champions Viking FK have announced the signing of Nigerian winger Samuel Adegbenro on a loan deal after completing and passing a medical examination at SR-Bank Arena.
Adegbenro has returned for a second spell at Viking and his loan deal will see the Beijing Guoan- owned player remain in Norway until the end of the season.
In his first stint at Viking, from 2015 to 2017, the 27-year-old managed to play in 75 games, scoring 17 goals while producing twelve assists, before he was bought by Scandinavian giants Rosenborg.
Before moving to Norway in 2015, he represented Prime and Kwara United in his homeland.
Commenting on his return to Viking, Adegbenro stated: "I am very, very happy to be back. It's like coming home again. I have seen most of the Viking matches now and they have done well with good supporters.
"I have seen the fans a lot, and it will be nice to see the people again. I have good memories from the past. Viking took me in like a family.
"I am very proud to be back in Viking. Wherever I've been, I've always talked about the club. This is where I started my career in Europe. They have made everything easier for me in both my career and in life."
Adegbenro was top scorer award in the 2021 Allsvenskan season with 17 goals in thirty matches, and played in 27 games in European competitions as a Rosenborg player.
After nineteen matches in the Eliteserien, Viking are second in the standings with 44 points accumulated.
