Arsenal sell another Hale End product for around the same fee they received for Iwobi

Cap-tied United States international of Nigerian descent, Folarin Balogun has ended his 12-year association with Arsenal.
Through their official website, the Gunners confirmed on Wednesday evening that the Hale End Academy graduate has joined French Ligue 1 club AS Monaco in a permanent transfer.
Although the transfer fee has not been disclosed, Italian transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that the total package is in excess of 40 million euros - around the same fee they received for another Hale End graduate Alex Iwobi who joined Everton in 2019.
The American-born attacker made his Arsenal debut in a Europa League clash against Dundalk in October 2020 and went on to play a further nine games, the last of which came against Sunderland in the Carabao Cup in December 2021.
He enjoyed loan spells at Championship side Middlesbrough in the second half of the 2021-2022 campaign and Ligue 1 team Reims last season.
Balogun is now tied to Monaco until June 30, 2028, having put pen to paper on a five-season contract.
He had a successful season at Reims, where he scored 22 goals and provided three assists in 39 matches across all competitions, earning him several UNFP Player of the Month nominations.
Arsenal have inserted a sell-on clause into his Monaco deal - a bit less than 20%.
