'I played against him in Turkey' - Super Eagles captain Omeruo labels Fisayo Dele-Bashiru a 'top player'

Super Eagles captain for Friday's friendly against Saudi Arabia, Kenneth Omeruo has labeled Manchester City academy product Fisayo Dele-Bashiru a 'top player'.
Nigeria manager Jose Peseiro bolstered his midfield options by handing a first time call-up to Dele-Bashiru who has taken the Turkish Super Lig by storm following his summer move from Sheffield Wednesday.
The versatile Hatayspor player, who can deployed as an attacking midfielder, central midfielder and winger, has registered four goals and three assists from eight appearances in the Turkish top flight.
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru earned an invitation to the Super Eagles for their international friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique on the back of that form.
Although Omeruo stopped Dele-Bashiru from wreaking havoc when his team Kasimpasa faced off with Hatayspor on gameweek two in the Turkish Super Lig, the central defender revealed that the Manchester City-reared midfielder is a good addition to the Super Eagles team.
At Thursday's pre-match press conference, Omeruo was asked to share his thoughts on the new players Peseiro has brought into the team.
"Top players. I have trained with them, seen them train. Fisayo, I played against him in Turkey, so the players coming in are top players," he said.
Fisayo Dele-Bashiru trained with the Flying Eagles in Germany before the 2019 Fifa U20 World Cup but was not taken to the tournament in Poland by manager Paul Aigbogun.
