Official: Former Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe joins fifth tier club in England
Published: October 14, 2023
With a statement on their official website, National League club Ebbsfleet United have announced the signing of onetime Nigeria Football Federation target Jordon Ibe.
The financial terms and length of the deal have not been disclosed by the Fleet who play in the fifth tier of English football.
Ibe had been searching for a new club following his departure from Turkish outfit Adanaspor in the summer of 2022.
The 27-year-old has a rich CV which includes him having spells at Premier League duo Liverpool and Bournemouth, plus Derby County, Wycombe Wanderers and Birmingham City.
Ibe played 58 matches for Liverpool including appearances in the Premier League, Europa League, League Cup and FA Cup, and registered 92 appearances for the Cherries with fourteen goal involvements (5 goals, 9 assists).
A pacy, physical and versatile player, Ibe was named in the matchday squad against Slough Town in an Emirates FA Cup fixture on Saturday afternoon.
Ibe links up with Liverpool youth team product David Amoo and former West Ham United winger Matthias Fanimo at Ebbsfleet United.
The English-Nigerian player, who made his Football League debut at the age of 15, has been allocated the number 33 jersey at Ebbsfleet United - the same number he used at Liverpool, Bournemouth and Adanaspor.
