Super Eagles-eligible defender Destiny Udogie is in contention to make his ninth consecutive appearance in the Premier League when Tottenham Hotspur take on Fulham in a London derby at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday, October 23.
The Verona-born player is two games away from becoming cap-tied to Italy having featured in back-to-back 2024 European Championship qualifying matches against Malta and England.
Before his trip to Italy to link up with the Azzurri, Udogie promised to return to Tottenham Hotspur in good physical condition.
The Italian-Nigerian young star has kept to his word, with Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou revealing in his pre-match briefing on Friday that all the returning internationals, including Udogie, reported back unscathed.
This puts him in contention to face a Fulham team that may contain two Nigeria internationals Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey.
In quotes relayed by Football.London, Postecoglou told reporters: "It's been a pretty positive international break for us. In terms of availability I'll address the international players first.
"Everyone is kind of back and medical reports seem to be good so no real issues around the guys from a fitness perspective.
"Also, we got a couple of senior debuts with Destiny and Micky getting some runs in there in terms of playing for their national team. It was a good break."
Tottenham Hotspur are topping the Premier League table with 20 points from their opening eight matches and they are one of the two teams unbeaten, the other being their north London rivals Arsenal.
