Golden Eaglets-eligible fullback promoted to Arsenal first team training ahead of UCL clash v Sevilla
Published: October 23, 2023
Manager Mikel Arteta promoted Golden Eaglets-eligible fullback Cam'ron Ismail to first team training on Monday, on the eve of his side's crucial UEFA Champions League meeting with Sevilla at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
Following the weekend's draw against Chelsea, the Gunners were back on the grass at London Colney to get ready for the matchday three Champions League clash against the Spanish opponents.
According to Arsenal youth team guru, Jeorge Bird, Cam'ron Ismail was among the academy players that trained with the first team on Monday, the others being Bradley Ibrahim, Luis Brown, Amario Cozier-Duberry and James Hillson.
Ismail joined Arsenal in September 2021 following a successful trial and is eligible to be included on Arsenal's Champions League roster via the B list having spent more than two years at the club.
A left-back by trade, Ismail has returned to Arsenal unscathed after attending a training camp for Egypt U19 squad held in Ismaila during the international break.
The first year scholar has yet to receive a call-up for a first team game since joining Arsenal, but features for the U18 team.
Arsenal have registered 2023 Flying Eagles invitee Ovie Ejeheri, midfielders Miguel Azeez and Ethan Nwaneri, and striker Henry Davies for the Champions League via the B list.
