'A big win' - Onyeka reacts as Brentford set Premier League record after victory at Chelsea
Published: October 29, 2023
Super Eagles star Frank Onyeka has taken to social media to react to Brentford's 2-0 victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the early kickoff on Saturday, October 28.
The Bees set a Premier League record with their win against Chelsea as they became the first-ever team to win on their first three visits to Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
Promoted to the Premier League for the first time in 2021, Brentford beat Chelsea 4-1 in the 2021-2022 season and the following campaign, the Bees registered another road win over the two-time European champions.
Brentford's latest victory came courtesy of second half goals from Ethan Pinnock and Bryan Mbeumo.
Manager Thomas Frank made two changes from the home win against Burnley, one of which saw Onyeka start on the bench.
The Danish football tactician brought on the defensive midfielder in the 64th minute and he was booked for a tactical foul with five minutes left on the clock.
Reacting to Brentford's win, Onyeka wrote on Instagram: "A big win achieved at the Bridge with amazing support from our away end".
