Denmark U17 international of Nigerian descent, Chidozie Obi-Martin made his competitive debut for Arsenal U21s as they registered a 6-3 win over Brighton & Hove in a Premier League 2 match at Meadow Park on Sunday.
Aged 15 years and 334 days today, the Danish-Nigerian wonderkid entered the game as a substitute in the 70th minute with the Gunners leading 5-3.
Obi-Martin was briefly promoted to the Gunners development squad on the back of his impressive displays for Arsenal U18s and Denmark's U17 national team.
Since the start of the 2023-2024 season, the centre forward has tallied three goals in four matches for Arsenal in the U18 Premier League and mustered seven goals in the nine matches that he played for Denmark youth team.
Obi-Martin played his first official match for Arsenal U21s five days after he made his debut for the U19s in the UEFA Youth League against Sevilla.
Goals from Bradley Ibrahim, Khayon Edwards (2) and Jack Henry-Francis saw Arsenal establish a four-goal lead inside 39 minutes but the Seagulls pulled one back through Mark O'Mahony just before halftime.
In the second half, Amario Cozier-Duberry bagged a brace, while O'Mahony and Josh Duffus got on the scoresheet for the visitors.
Obi-Martin, who is in his final season as a schoolboy, will return to Arsenal U16 squad in the coming days.
