Red-hot Flying Eagles-eligible forward scores in two consecutive matches for Chelsea youth
Published: November 01, 2023
Flying Eagles eligible forward Tyrique George continued his rich vein iof form by scoring and assisting in Chelsea's developmental squad's 4-1 victory over Dinamo Zagreb in the Premier League International Cup on Tuesday night.
The talented forward had a hand in the first goal as it was the rebound of his shot that Billy Gee pounded on to give the young Blues the lead.
The 17-year-old would also go on to register an assist to his name as he was responsible for the delightful pass for Ronnie Stutter's goal.
He finally got his name on the scoresheet with a powerful finish from the edge of the box, three minutes before the end of the first half.
Toni Magic pulled one back for Dinamo Zagreb but an own goal from Ivan Cvetko will dash any hope of staging a comeback by the Croatian side.
With his goal tonight, George has now scored in two consecutive games for Chelsea having scored for the U18s in their 4-3 loss to Tottenham last weekend in the U18 Premier League.
The England U18 international of Nigerian descent has registered seven goals his last nine outings for Chelsea's youth teams.
