Tottenham Hotspur's first choice of goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has spoken highly of Italian-Nigerian defender Destiny Udogie who is having a great start to life in England.
Udogie has played a vital role in the north London side's unbeaten start to the Premier League season, starting every game he has been named in the matchday squad.
In what is his first season in the English top flight, the Italian-born left-back has quickly established himself as one of the best left-backs in the division.
Vicario who arrived at Tottenham in the summer, believes that the 20-year-old has the potential to become a top player.
"Udogie is like my little brother, he has characteristics to be at the very top, this explosive physicality and is suited perfectly to the Premier League. In the locker room we use the Italian language," he told Tuttomercatoweb.
Like the Super Eagles-eligible defender, the Italian goalkeeper has also settled quickly in England, keeping 4 clean sheets in ten Premier League appearances.
Udogie has missed the last two games due to injury and it is uncertain if he is going to feature when Ange Postecoglou's side host Chelsea on Monday night.
With two assists in the Premier League, he sits in third position on Spurs' goal-providers chart, with only James Maddison and Richarlison recording more.
