Super Eagles watch: Ajayi scores on injury return, Onuachu with trademark goal, Kalu nets stunning free-kick 

Ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, three Super Eagles players were on target to help their clubs register wins in league matches played in Europe on Saturday, November 4.

Starting in England, where Semi Ajayi made a return from an ankle injury in West Brom's 3-1 home win against Hull City at The Hawthorns . 

The central defender came off the bench in the 55th minute to replace Kyle Bartley and sixteen minutes later, he was celebrating his second goal of the season.

Ajayi, with the help of a deflection, fired home to put the Baggies in a very comfortable place.

In Turkey's Super Lig, Paul Onuachu was on target as Trabzonspor ended Fenerbahce's 19-game winning streak, beating the Yellow Canaries 3-2 at the Ülker Stadyumu FB Şükrü Saraçoğlu Spor Kompleksi.

Having fired blanks in three consecutive matches before the trip to Istanbul, Southampton loanee Onuachu rediscovered his scoring touch as he opened the scoring inside ten minutes and there are no prizes for guessing how the goal came about.

The lanky center forward headed home a brilliant cross from  Edin Visca, taking his tally to four goals in seven matches in the process. 

Over to the Swiss Super League, Watford loanee Samuel Kalu is beginning to get his mojo back at Lausanne-Sport.

Kalu registered a goal and assist to help Lausanne-Sport defeat Lugano 3-1 on matchday 13. 

The former Bordeaux winger opened the scoring with a stunning free-kick in the 71st minute and turned from scorer to provider in the 80th minute when he teed up Brighton Labeau. 

Kalu has directly participated in four goals (2 goals, 2 assists) in his last four games in the Swiss Super League.
