Video: Southampton loanee Onauchu scores must-see game-winning goal for Trabzonspor
Published: November 10, 2023Southampton loanee Paul Onuachu scored a mouth-watering winning goal to help Trabzonspor beat Konyaspor 2-1 on matchday 12 of the Süper Lig played at Papara Park on Friday night
With his back to goal, Onuachu hit the ball very hard with his heel and managed to beat the Konyaspor goalkeeper after receiving a lofted pass from Enis Destan which sent Trabzonspor fans into ecstasy.
It was also the Nigerian striker who opened the scoring when he fired a rebound shot into the bottom right corner a minute before the hour mark.
Louka Prip drew level for Konyaspor with a precise header but Onuachu's moment of brilliance will ensure that the home side scoop the maximum points.
The Super Eagles forward's incredible strike is a reminisce of Olivier Giroud's goal for Arsenal against Crystal Palace in 2017 which also earned the French forward the Puskas award that year.
Tonight's brace is the Southampton loanee's first in the colours of the Burgundy Blues and has now taken his goal tally to 6 goals in eight games.
