Hull City join Fenerbahce in race to sign Man City youth product Fisayo Dele-Bashiru
Published: November 27, 2023
Championship team Hull City are the latest European club linked with a move for Manchester City youth product Fisayo Dele-Bashiru ahead of the January transfer window.
Dele-Bashiru's performances for Turkish Super Lig club Hatayspor have not gone unnoticed, with the versatile midfielder also reportedly attracting interest from Fenerbahce and Napoli.
With the exception of the 2-1 away loss at Samsunspor he missed due to accumulated bookings, Dele-Bashiru has started all the matches played by Hatayspor in the first tier so far this season.
According to multiple reports in the Turkish press including TV100, Acun Ilıcalı, the Turkish owner of Hull City, is taking steps to transfer Hatayspor's young talent Dele-Bashiru, and took the player's representative to London with his private plane,
Ilıcalı previously transferred three Fenerbahce players in the shape of Ozan Tufan, Allahyar and Bora Aydınlık to Hull City and Doğukan Sinik from Antalyaspor to the Tigers.
Dele-Bashiru has some Football League experiences with 65 appearances combined in the Championship and League One for former club Sheffield Wednesday.
A promising midfielder with potential, the 22-year-old has directly participated in eight goals (4 goals, 4 assists) in 13 games this season.
He is under contract at Hatayspor until the end of the 2025-2026 season.
