'He was on Tottenham's list' - Transfer guru reveals multiple clubs are interested in Nigerian CB
Published: December 21, 2023
Transfer market guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed that multiple clubs are interested in signing Nigerian central defender Tosin Adarabioyo.
Tottenham Hotspur's recruitment team are actively combing the market for a central defender, with OGC Nice star Jean-Clair Todibo one of the names on their shortlist.
Tosin attracted interest from Monaco and Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window but he favored a switch to France over remaining in the Premier League and even acquired a Nigerian passport to smooth things out.
His proposed transfer to the Principality club fell through as Fulham didn't have a replacement lined up for him, so they pulled the plug on the deal.
Tosin had a difficult start to the season due to injury problems and uncertainty over his future with his contract at Fulham expiring on June 30, 2024.
The Manchester City academy product has fully recovered from the groin issue that required surgery and has gone the distance in each of the last four games played by Fulham.
"Multiple clubs are interested in Tosin as current deal expires in June 2024. He was on Spurs list last summer," Romano posted on X.
Tosin has won the trust of Fulham manager Marco Silva who described him as a special player after scoring the winning penalty in the Carabao Cup shootout against Everton on Tuesday.
