Super Eagles forward interested in transfer to Scottish giants Rangers
Published: January 07, 2024
Super Eagles forward Emmanuel Dennis is reportedly interested in joining Scottish Premiership giants Rangers this month.
Daily Record says Dennis is open to a move to the Light Blues if the Ibrox club make their move - and he looks a more likely addition than Brighton's Steven Alzate as things stand.
Dennis was loaned out by Nottingham Forest to Basaksehir FK in the summer transfer window but has not hit the heights expected of him with no goals or assists in eight Super Lig games.
He has not played in the last six games contested by Basaksehir FK due to an undisclosed injury.
Transfer market reporter Sacha Tavolieri claims Dennis has been proposed to Rangers but there hasn't been an official approach as of now.
Dennis has worked with Rangers boss Philippe Clement before, scoring 10 goals in 46 games under the Belgian football tactician during his time at Club Brugge.
The 26-year-old would have no choice but to terminate his loan deal at Basaksehir FK which was supposed to expire at the end of the season in order to seal a transfer to Rangers.
The loan capture of Fabio Silva bolstered Rangers' attacking ranks which also includes Dennis's international teammate Cyriel Dessers, Sam Lammers, Abdallah Sima and Kemar Roofe.
