Talented England youth teamer of Nigerian descent Tyrique George has missed out on Chelsea's Goal of the Month for the fourth consecutive month.
The official website of Chelsea announced on Saturday that Lionesses forward Lauren James scooped the January accolade for her volleyed strike in the Blues' 3-0 victory over Brighton & Hove on January 27, 2024.
George had been double-nominated for Chelsea's Goal of the Month for January for his goals against Everton in the FA Youth Cup and Manchester United in the Premier League 2.
Other players shortlisted included Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling, Women's forward Mia Fishel, and development squad star Frankie Runham.
George failed to finish in the podium places, with Cole Palmer's strike against Middlesbrough in second and Raheem Sterling's free-kick against Preston voted third best.
The Anglo-Nigerian winger was also nominated for Chelsea's Goal of the Month for October, November and December but missed out on the awards, with Mykhailo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling and Cole Palmer taking the honour.
George was in action for Chelsea on Saturday as they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Leicester City in the U18 Premier League.
The Cobham product has mustered thirteen goals in all competitions so far this season.
