'My favourite is Chelsea's Madueke' - Ex-Napoli coach urges Juventus to sign Super Eagles-eligible winger
Published: February 14, 2024
Former Napoli coach Giovanni Galeone wants Juventus to sign Chelsea's Super Eagles-eligible winger Noni Madueke.
Since moving to Stamford Bridge last year, the young England international has found game time hard to come by, with injuries also playing a role in his struggles.
The arrival of Cole Palmer last summer has also contributed to his lack of game time, with the former Manchester City wonderkid quickly establishing himself as a key player at Stamford Bridge.
Despite his struggles, there is no doubt that Madueke is a talented youngster and it is no surprise that he is being touted to be a good fit for a big club like Juventus.
In an interview with Gazzetta via Football Italia, Galeone while responding to the question on which player he would sign for the Old Lady revealed that he has been talking to the club manager, Max Allegri about signing the Anglo-Nigerian.
"I would have signed Berardi last summer, but now my favourite is Chelsea's Madueke. I've been talking to Max about this guy born in 2002 for a long time, but I don't know if it's feasible for Juventus."
The 21-year-old Madueke has started just 8 games this season but has made nineteen appearances in all competitions, notching 4 goals.
