Nwaneri trains alongside Timber ahead of Arsenal's PL clash against Sheffield United

Arsenal have stepped up their preparations for the Premier League clash against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane with a training session held at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday morning.
Spanish football tactician Mikel Arteta continues to run the rule over England U17 international of Nigerian descent Ethan Nwaneri, having invited the Hale End Academy product to train with the first team for the umpteenth time since the start of the 2023-2024 season.
Netherlands international Jurrien Timber was the biggest novelty in Wednesday's training session and was welcomed by the Arsenal players including Nwaneri in what was his first training session with the group in six months.
Timber has not figured for the Gunners since he suffered a serious knee injury on his Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest on the opening day of the season.
Despite his tender years, Nwaneri is pushing to be promoted to Arsenal's first team after catching the eye for the youth teams.
Overall, the attacking midfielder has received six call-ups for first team games this season, comprising three in the UEFA Champions League, two in the Premier League and one in the FA Cup.
The 16-year-old made his second appearance for Arsenal in a 6-0 win at West Ham United on February 11, coming off the bench for the last thirteen minutes as a replacement for Gabriel Martinelli.
Nwaneri began the season as a first year scholar and will sign his first professional contract with Arsenal next month.
