Published: May 01, 2024
Through their official website, EFL League Two club Accrington Stanley have published their retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season.
2019 Flying Eagles invitee Korede Adedeoyin is out of contract at the end of next month and will be released upon the expiry of his deal on June 30.
Born in Lagos, Adedoyin joined Accrington Stanley from Sheffield Wednesday on a permanent deal in February 2022
He began his career in England with Manchester United youth team, and then transferred to Everton at the age of 10, where he signed his professional contract at Goodison Park in July 2019.
The 23-year-old joined Manchester United at the age of six and remained with their academy until he was nine years old.
After a decade at the Toffees, he moved to Sheffield Wednesday in 2020 following a successful trial.
Adedoyin is set to depart Accrington Stanley after making 57 appearances in all competitions, tallying eleven goals while producing four assists.
The versatile forward trained with the Flying Eagles in Germany before the 2019 Fifa U20 World Cup but was not selected in the final squad.
Another Nigerian forward Leslie Adekoya will also depart Accrington Stanley following the end of his contract in June 2024.
