Official: Arsenal youth product Omole released by League One new boys Crawley Town
Published: May 24, 2024
With a statement on their official website, EFL League One new boys Crawley Town have announced their retained and released list following the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season.
Crawley Town defeated Crewe Alexandra 2-0 at Wembley Stadium to earn a promotion to the third tier of English football.
Arsenal youth team product Tobi Omole will embark on a new chapter in his career next season as he's among the seven players released by the Red Devils.
Omole struggled with injuries during his time at Crawley Town, limiting his appearances to eleven in all competitions across two seasons, comprising five in the League Two, four in the EFL Trophy and two in the Carabao Cup.
The 24-year-old transferred to Crawley Town in July 2022 after turning down a new contract from Tottenham Hotspur.
Omole made 51 appearances combined for Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League 2 for their U21 squads.
Crawley Town have also confirmed that another Nigerian central defender Mustapha Olagunju has returned to his parent club Huddersfield Town, to whom he is contracted until June 30, 2024.
Olagunju logged ten minutes, against Walsall in the League Two, during his loan spell at Crawley Town.
Ade Adeyemo has a year left on his contract and has been retained by Crawley Town for the 2024-2025 season.
