Nigerian striker linked with Arsenal, AC Milan emerges as one of Man Utd's primary transfer targets

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United have made Nigerian striker Joshua Zirkzee, who has also been linked with AC Milan and Arsenal, one of their primary transfer targets this summer.
While the Red Devils are still pondering over the future of Erik ten Hag as the club's manager after a dismal season, they seem to have already begun plans on how to fortify their squad.
They scored 57 goals in the Premier League last season, same as 10th placed Crystal Palace which is the lowest among teams that finished in the top half of the table, thus the need to fortify the attacking department.
Zirkzee has emerged as a priority target for the Premier League giants after a breakthrough season which has made him one of the best young strikers in the top five Leagues in Europe.
His 11 goals in the Serie A last term was more than any Manchester United player managed in the Premier League and could be a good addition to the side.
Having played a crucial role in Bologna's qualification for the UEFA Champions League next season, the 22-year-old is on the radar of the European heavyweights.
Besides Manchester United, Arsenal and AC Milan also hold him in high regard with the latter already declaring their attention to pay his release clause.
The Gunners interest in the former Bayern Munich starlet stems from their desire to bring in a young striker this summer having turned their attention away from Victor Osimhen, Alexander Isak and Ivan Toney.
