Trabzonspor ready to include two players, obligation to buy in deal to sign Southampton striker Onuachu
Published: June 12, 2024
Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor continue to work on a deal to sign Southampton's Nigeria national teamer Paul Onuachu ahead of the 2024-2025 season.
Onuachu enjoyed a successful loan spell at Trabzonspor in the recently concluded season, registering seventeen goals and four assists in 25 all-competition appearances, twenty-two of which he started.
Trabzonspor are keen on retaining Onuachu for next season but are struggling to meet his asking price, with the Saints valuing him at fifteen million euros.
According to Turkish sports daily Fanatik, Trabzonspor want to bring the lanky striker on another loan deal as a permanent transfer seems financially unfeasible for them.
And to sweeten the proposed deal, the Black Sea Storm have offered to give two of their players to Göztepe, a club in which Sport Republic holds a 70 percent stake.
In addition, there was a suggestion to include a compulsory option to buy in the rental agreement.
Trabzonspor paid a fee of 1.5 million euros to sign Onuachu from Southampton on a season-long loan last September.
The FC Ebedei product has a contract with the Premier League new boys until June 30, 2026.
